New updates is not displayed in the new UI šŸ™€

Do you see the app update available in the desktop or mobile app?

Just checked the iOS app and yup, works as expected. Blue triangle icon and tapping it shows:

The React UI shows no signs of updates being available.

Ok, I suggest creating an issue on the React repo.

It is a current feature but itā€™s possible it isnā€™t working correctly.

It is absolutely not working correctly (The update notification feature in react.) which is why I opened this thread and wanted to import it.

Thanks again Hillel. You guys are doing an amazing job.

Well by the way.

I just discovered while attempting to update Invoice Ninja today (12-08-2024), and it fails again (See this thread/error report here: Update to version 5.8.58 fails with error message āš ), with this message because the update download file is missing at source mirror server:

Could you guys please take a look at this and fix it so you can update Invoice Ninja?

Thanks in advance.

Which version do you see in the app on the about dialog?

Which version do you see in the app on the about dialog?

If Iā€™m looking at @AngryWarrior 's screenshot correctly, looks like v5.10.16 is the current version, doesnā€™t it?

I was curious which version of the desktop app youā€™re using, you can see it in the about dialog.

Hi Hillel.

Windows Desktop Invoice Ninja version:

Awesome, thank you. :facepunch:

Youā€™re using a much older version of the Windows app, you can download the latest version here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/invoice-ninja/9n3f2bbcfdr6

Ok, thanks Hillel.
Iā€™ve updated it:

Now lets run the main Invoice Ninja and see what happensā€¦

Ok so ran the server update through the Windows desktop app as it is the only place you can see new updates which you canā€™t in the react web server based/website version (Which this forum thread is obviously about).

So after updating the Desktop app to current version it at least worked updating Invoice Ninja:
update-invoice-ninja
So thank you @hillel on that part as that ā€œupdate issueā€ is now solved.

So the UI website react version issue with missing update notification still remains unsolved.

If youā€™re seeing a problem in the app please create an issue on GitHub.

The forum is for working features, GitHub is for broken features (and feature requests).

Iā€™ve created one (see above).

Thanks hillel. I generally gravitate towards the forums first because I want to make sure an issue isnā€™t something that only Iā€™m running into. Itā€™s helpful to see if the problem is just for me, or for others as well, before submitting an issue, especially since many users on the forum wonā€™t have a clue whatā€™s in the Github repository as an issue, let alone what Github even is.

I think weā€™ve established this is indeed a bug, thus the issue Iā€™ve submitted.

Thatā€™s great news that you guys actually do something about it.
I have been pointing our this annoying issue myself for quite sometime now.

Thanks David. :facepunch:

Hi guys.

Its the same thing again where:

1.) Available Updates are not displayed as a notification alert to admin:

Old UI notifies of the update:

uddate_fail_01

New React UI does not display the notification of the available system update at all.

update_fail_02

2.) When attempting to run the update through the old UI (In the Windows app), it fails with the message that the update files does not exits on the master/update server:

As you can see the react UI does not even display the ā€œForce updateā€ button.

Is this going to fixed at some point with the UI fails to notify and will there be a fix for the system cannot find the files on the remote update server which Invoice Ninja downloads the new files to update the system with?

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
