Client Unable to Pay Invoice

This is an odd one.

When I click the “View Invoice” option in the client mail I get the option to click next and then next again but no payment option is available.

Maybe you’ve setup a minimum payment limit?

No. Not that I am aware of anyway and other invoices for less can be paid and have been.

Which payment gateway and payment method are you using?

We use Stripe. Seems to be OK for other clients.

Credit card or bank transfer?

Are there any errors in the browser console?

Credit card and no, no errors at all.

I’m not sure, maybe their client or group payment settings are different?

I thought that too but checked and they appear to be the same as other clients.

Without the ability to pay what are the clients supposed to do?

Is there a pattern as to which clients have this problem?

It just appears to be this two. They were both imported from v4, both had auto bill configured and both have the same issue.

Not sure, you could try creating a new client and merging the old client into the new one.

Looks like that’s what I will have to do.

I’m just a bit concerned though that you developed the software and can’t find the solution.

The software is developed by a team, feel free to create a discussion on GitHub to get feedback from the backend development team

I created a new client and exactly the same. No payment option when they clicked view invoice.

That might help narrow down where the problem lies?

Things to check are the browser console, the gateway settings and the client’s country/currency.

If that doesn’t explain it I suggest creating a discussion on GitHub

Something I noticed is that if I view the client portal there are no payment methods set.

How do I send the client the link to THEIR portal so they can add a payment method please?

Clients should see a ‘Pay Now’ button whether or not they have payment methods

There is an option to copy the client portal link in the app when viewing the client

But still, with payment method added they cannot pay the invoices.

This is just insane.

I have checked the payment gateway settings just in case that was the issue and all good.

So even if the client adds a payment method they are unable to pay the invoice.
