Update with artisan

Via the console artisan tells me that no update is available although a newer version is available.
How is it possible to update via the console?

@david is there a console command for this?

The update is designed to be run from within the application, there should be an update button you can use in the UI.

And what is a GUI for then?
It is already clear that there is a button, but via the GUI you have more possibilities.
