"These credentials do not match our records" error message on installation

Hi,
I am installing self-hosted Invoice Ninja on a Debian 9 machine running apache2 & PHP7.

I get through all the installation steps, database creation etc, but when I get to the first “Account Login” screen, I get an error message stating “these credentials do not match our records” and can’t get any further.

I have tried setting the email settings in the .env file, and whilst I do get a password recovery email, that points to an online test server, and not to my locally hosted installation.

Would be grateful for any help. Thanks

From your other post it looks like you manually created the .env file, I’d suggest trying to delete the .env file and then load /setup.
