Is the v5 database an extension or substantial re-write of v4?

I am spending time developing SQL queries for v4, I may want to put off my project until v5 is ready for prime time.

This is absolutely great and exciting.

I use invoice ninja everyday and today I just thought let me come here and see if the new version has been released yet.

I’m definitely going to download and install the self host version and the app.

As you have stated we should install it separately and migrate. But not use it as our main system as it’s in production.

My questions are

  1. Is this new version available on softacolous as yet.
  2. If I install it as a secondary system is it just meant for me to test using demo invoices and report issues in forum?

  1. Not yet, we’ll release it though Softaculous once it’s stable

  2. For the alpha release yes, we plan to share the beta release soon
