Task Number to Invoice Item

When I invoice a task (Add to Invoice) I can define (in settings) how much detail I would like to show in the Description field. However, I would also like to pass on the Task Number to become the invoice Item text.
Is this already possible?
Could I code it into my self-hosted instance?

Any pointers would be appreciated!
