OK, so that did it.
queue:work database --queue=scout
Executed all of the pending jobs.
The fix is, apparently, updating to .27 (which I’ll do next).
It would have been helpful to be aware that there is an additional queue called ‘scout’, so that ’ queue:work database --queue=scout’ could have helped to at least clear the queue.
