A year ago, it would have been impossible to move me away from Stripe. Today, they are adding fees and retiring skilled customer service agents.
I am considering having Stripe bundle up my data and send it to Authorize.net where I can use a lower cost provider such as Costco/Elavon. Of course, this will mean, we’ll need to import the new tokens into IN, and hope all goes well without too much lost revenue. OTOH, I hope this gives us a bit more control over our destiny, if our chosen provider gets too greedy or unreasonable, it seems we have the ability to change from one to another without changing much if anything on the IN side of things.
I am interested in hearing from others who have preceded me down this path.
If we choose this path, we’ll use Gatewaysetup as the Authorize reseller, their monthly fee is $15 vs $25 at Authorize, unless someone says “That’s a bad plan”.
