Tanzania (+255) phone number rejected during verification – 400 Invalid phone number
Hi,
I’m trying to verify my phone number during the Invoice Ninja signup process, but I keep getting the following error:
400: Bad Request • Invalid phone number please use + country code + number ie. +15552343334
I’m using a Tanzanian mobile number and entering it in international/E.164 format:
+2557XXXXXXXX
I’ve removed the leading 0, I’m using the +255 Tanzania country code, and there are no spaces or special characters in the number.
The number is valid and active, but Invoice Ninja still rejects it before sending the verification SMS.
Is there a known issue with Tanzanian (+255) numbers, or is phone verification currently limited to certain countries/providers?
