I’m setting up Invoice Ninja to replace Harvest (which I have used for 15 years) for my recurring monthly invoicing. I use Stripe for credit card payments. I have two questions.
Question #1:
I need clarification about the customer’s authorization for recurring auto-billing.
My recurring invoice is configured as Auto Bill: Opt-In (Option is shown but not selected).
At checkout, however, the only option I see is “Save payment method details – Yes/No.”
To me, choosing “Yes” appears to authorize Invoice Ninja/Stripe to store the customer’s card for future use, but it does not clearly tell the customer that my company will automatically charge that card for future monthly recurring invoices.
Where does the customer explicitly opt in to automatic recurring charges?
If selecting “Save payment method details – Yes” is also considered the customer’s authorization for recurring auto-billing, can the wording be changed so that this is clear to the customer—for example, “Save this payment method and automatically pay future recurring invoices”?
I want to make sure customers knowingly authorize automatic monthly payment rather than simply agreeing to have their card stored.

Question #2:
In Invoice Ninja, I have recurring invoices set to Auto Bill: Opt-In.
I have Stripe tokenization set to “Option is shown but not selected.” This correctly gives the customer a “Save payment method details – Yes/No” choice at checkout.
However, the Stripe card-entry field also displays the green “Save with Link” option. This is confusing because customers see two different “save” choices and may not know which one enables automatic payment of future recurring invoices.
I checked my Stripe dashboard, but Stripe says “Invoice Ninja LLC is managing payment methods for you” and does not allow me to disable Link for the Invoice Ninja payment configuration.
Is there a way in Invoice Ninja to disable “Stripe Link” while continuing to accept normal Stripe credit/debit card payments and allowing customers to opt in to saving their card for recurring auto-billing?
