Any way to restrict the search box in the upper right hand corner of the screen to only search in NON-deleted invoices, or at least NON-deleted entries (clients, invoices, etc.)

It sounds like you’re using v4, we’re not longer making changes to the app. I suggest upgrading to v5.
Note: in v4 the search in the top right includes deleted but the filter in the invoice list will only search records included in the status filter.
