Guys is there a function already or coming that allows OCR of receipts or a way to manually create an expense and upload a photo of the receipt both web based and or iPhone based also…
any ideas or help with this would be awesome

Would you consider including OCR in the mobile app (or even better on the server… end). So scanned or photographed invoices (expenses) can be populated with data automatically and saved as drafts (with the original attached) for manual inspection/approval? This would be an awesome addition to an already awesome app.
P.S. Google offers an open source OCR engine (https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract)
Or even better a Laravel OCR with Tesseract (https://github.com/alimranahmed/LaraOCR)
