Preferred installation method

Hello

In the installation documentation, I see many methods to install IN v5. Is one preferred / advised above the other?

What do you use / recommend; Git or Zip?
When using Git, do you follow the v5-stable branch? Or do you use tag-based so you can first test the latest release before installing it in production?

You probably want to use the zip, Git is useful if you want to submit code changes.
