Performance Issues After Update: Slow Page Load Times

I’ve noticed that after updates from version 5.48 onwards, the platform has become significantly heavier and pages take much longer to load compared to earlier versions. Could this be related to my shared hosting environment or settings? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My first thought is, admittedly, the shared hosting. Whilst much cheaper, most shared hosting is noted for being slow. It also depends on your plan, not all shared hosting is light on resources.

It could also be due to your PHP settings being set too low. I’ve never used shared hosting before. But, that might be a setting that you have limited access to change.

However, if you are able to access your php.ini file, you can look at your PHP memory and cache sizes, which can be causing the slowdown. Not guaranteed, but certainly something to look at.

You’ll also need to see if @hillel has any other ideas.

Hi,

Are you using the React or Flutter app?

Also, is it possible you’ve switched between apps?

Yes, I switched to React, and I’m using the mobile app and the browser. However, after updating to the latest .21 version, I’ve noticed that when I select invoices or similar items, the page goes blank and won’t load.

It may help to clear your browser cache.

If that doesn’t solve it please create an issue here:

@invoiceninjauser24 It appears there may be a fix for this issue of the blank pages (I think it’s a caching issue) in the latest release, according to the release notes. I will update later today. However, I can confirm that clearing the browser cache - or at least clearing cookies for your InvoiceNinja instance - does solve the problem.

I can confirm that the caching fix has been added and now works.
