PDF creation only works with ’ Plain’ template on self-hosted.
With other templates I had corrupted / unreadable pdf files

Changing template to ‘Plain’ worked for me

Try loading /update?clear_cache=true to see if it helps.

  • Is it a new install or are you upgrading?

  • Are there any details in the browser console?
