Hello there,
I need to change some information about my company, but I need to continue to use the same information like 2 different companies.
I created a new company and tried to export/import clients and configurations, but it doesn’t work, it copies less than a half of my clients and the configuration I can’t copy.
Is there a way to copy the company completly and change just some informations after?
In the BD or another way?

Hi,
You should be able to use the JSON export and then when importing only select the settings to be imported.
Hi @hillel ,
Thank you, I didn’t see the Json option…
But, I’m getting a 500: Internal Server Error when I try to import, do you know what could it be?

There should be more details in storage/logs
Also, are you using the latest version of the app?
I changed the config on my server and it worked.
Yes, I have the latest version.
But, I can’t choose everything that I want to import… Like, I want the settings, the clients… but not the invoices/tasks and other things…
I didn’t find a way anyway…

The JSON import/export is all or nothing with data, you can use the CSV export to transfer just the clients.
I tried that…
It didn’t work. because the notes I make for my clients have coma “,” and the CSV cut the information.
The import was just some clients not everyone…

That sounds like a potential bug, feel free to follow up in a discussion on GitHub.
Note: if you’re using the web app it may help to try exporting your clients in the desktop app using the ‘Reports’ option in the left sidebar.
Thanks @hillel
Yes, I’m already using the desktop app.
Thank you

Are you seeing the same problem with the client export using the reports option as well as using Settings > Import/export?
Yes… actually, I almost never use the Web version.

To be clear, I’m asking if you’ve tried both export options in the desktop not if you’ve tried the web and desktop apps.
I used just the export option on the Desktop app.
But, I found a way… not the best… I import everything with Json and deleted the data I didn’t want on the new company.

FYI… there are two separate export options in the desktop app, one may work better than the other.
