After almost 20 years on Harvest, I’m looking to migrate to a new platform now that they’ve skyrocketed their pricing. I’m testing InvoiceNinja, and there is a lot I like so far. But I am trying to figure out how to replicate my invoicing flow for my primary client and I’m a little puzzled.
With this client, I work on a number of projects, and I bill periodically for the hours worked on all projects within that period. In Harvest, I’ve been able to create an invoice that pulls in all invoiced time for that client between specific dates. I can’t figure out if something like that is possible within InvoiceNinja.
I see how I can assign time to a Task that is assigned to a Project. And I see how to invoice a single project at a time. But I can’t figure out how to pull in multiple projects/tasks into a single invoice.
I have also figured out how to create a custom invoice where I manually write in the project name into the service column and the task name into the description and the time into the hours column. But that doesn’t appear to connect to the Project/Task/Time to mark them as invoiced.
Is there a workflow that would help me achieve what it is I’m hoping to achieve?
Thanks for your time and your help.
