David was able to confirm that this issue was caused by a rare situation in which a client goes to perform a payment in full but then they abandon the transaction and proceed to then make a partial payment which incurs a new fee but the $12.58( $689 plus $12.58 fee if paid in full) is still registered in the back end. Fixes and improvements will come around in future releases. Thanks a lot to David for deep diving into my server for this one!

I had a similar situation and I had to completely delete and purge the customer to get it to reconcile. Then re-add the customer as new etc.
Hope updates prevent such in the future. A Big thanks to you and David for digging in and figuring it out.
