Invoiceninja v5 Softaculous

I’m using Softaculous to install and update Invoice Ninja from a shared hosting cPanel. I use a subdomain (invoice.****.com), and it works perfectly. However, when I recently asked Softaculous to update Invoice Ninja to the latest version, they replied with this message:

"We are aware of the new release. However Invoice Ninja team has changed their UI configuration since past few releases. (5.8.5x) which was not working as expected and hence we have halted the releases.

The recent Invoice Ninja release 5.8.54 is working in the root directory installations only and we have notified this to their vendor regarding this. Hence we have halted this release as well because the users who wish to install in a sub directory, won’t be able to install it. Once we get any revert from the team, we shall proceed further and shall keep you updated here."

Can you please tell me if I can update it myself or help them fix the problem?
