I’d like to take private notes for each timed task, without it showing on invoices. There appears to be an option for it under Task Settings called “Invoice Task Item Description” but after testing, this option appears to not work. Whether it’s on or off, Item specific notes never appear on the invoice, and Task notes always appear on the invoice.
I assume this is a bug. Anyone have insight on this?
And to answer your question, after testing, yes it does seem to work as expected on the web app. I’m now able to see the Task Item description show up on the invoice when that switch is on.
So this appears to be a bug within the macOS app.
Ideally, I’d like to be able to hide the main Task description so I can take quick private notes there, while choosing to show or hide the individual Task Item descriptions on the invoice.
Is this doable?
Yes I can go in and remove the description, but I’d like to maximize efficiency and limit the likelihood of mistakes. I’d first have to remember to go in and remove that information, then it adds more time to go in and edit every time, and if I forget or miss it then unintended notes may go to the client. A simple switch to turn that off would solve that.
Those are my thoughts.
