On a couple of other open source projects that I use, the developers will post a new topic on their forum with the release notes, when a new release comes out.
Not everyone uses or looks at GitHub regularly and might miss out on a new version and or change log.
Is there any way that you could do that here? I don’t know, maybe there a Discourse plug-in that helps with something like that?
For example something like this:
Some really great changes came out with this release and it would be great to share that with more users/admins.
We have many places we provide support: the forum, Slack, Discord. I think it may be better that we place the release notes in a single place (ie GitHub) and everyone knows to check there rather than have us post across all platforms. We’re a very small team, we’re always looking for ways to save time.
Thanks @hillel. I can appreciate that perspective and that it could be a lot to manage.
I knew about discord, but admittedly was unaware that you also have a Slack channel. That’s a lot to cover, especially if you’re not using bridges between any of them.
