Email going to spam, advice needed

Hi,
I noticed some of my mail goes to spam. I think I would try out things to improve deliverability and would like your opinion on this.

I could change the email provice. I’m currently using Postmark (invoicing.co) but could use smtp or Brevo. But I doubt this would really improve this?

My main thought is that my message is too spammy. I did a spam test and it seems okay, but I’m suspecting a payment link in a mail is maybe raising some red flags with spam detectors? I added the $payment_button because that is more convenient for the end users and would like to keep it though.

My email messages are something like:
Subject: New invoice $number of $account

Message:
$contact,
Herewith I confirm your order on Mywebsite.com.

Click on link to see your invoice with total of $amount.

$viewLink

Pay via payment link: $payment_button

Hi,

I suggest sending a test invoice to this site through the app.

Did that before. The only thing I noticed that the content is thin, but I can’t think of any relevant text to add.

To be sure I checked again just now.
8.9/10
SKIM, SPF, DMARC all passed

Spam assasin -1.1
-1.282 HTML_IMAGE_ONLY_24 HTML: images with 2000-2400 bytes of words

Maybe try adding some text at the bottom describing your business?

Hi,
I’m assuming that you think that chaning email provider wouldn’t have much impact?

2000 characters is a lot. I added some ‘tips’ in the email footer. I’ll try it out and report back later.

It’s possible changing the email provider may help

My first bet would be the payment button.

Would smtp be your choice when changing the email providor?

SMTP enables you to use your own email provider, if you don’t have a provider you can try with Mailgun.
