Download Older Versions for Running with PHP 5.5.31

I’m running version 2.4 on a self-hosted server on MediaTemple and would like to upgrade. But the server is using PHP version 5.5.31. Is there a newer version than 2.4 that will run with that version of PHP? If so, where could I find that version?
