I want to migrate from 4.5.28 to latest v4. Then I would like to migrate to v5 afterwards and might move it to a new ubuntu vm to run the v5.
The download link does not work https://download.invoiceninja.com/
Where can I get the files?
THX

awesome, lol, i haven’t used that site in years. THX i’ll give it a try.
Ha, me too… comes in handy when you need it
I actually change my mind on self hosting it and want to move to v5 hosting. How can I migrate to hosted? I upgraded to v.4.5.50.
Thanks.
You can use the migration tool with https://invoicing.co as the URL
Is that tool a special or separate tool? I tried going to settings > account management > start migration. There is only self hosted as an option. The url / credentials didn’t take on that option.
You should be able to select selfhost but use https://invoicing.co as the URL
Note: you’ll want to make sure to first create an account on the hosted platform
Yeah I did. I’ll go back and try again. Maybe it has a api secrete I didnt see. Thanks.
I paid for the enterprise 1 year and followed the prompts. after it starts migration, I get a 505 error page cant be found and no data transferred to the hosted. I tried several times.
Cross account migration is not allowed. Please read more about it here: https://invoiceninja.github.io/docs/migration/#troubleshooting
I did change the OWNER email to a different one. I found the doc stating this is the fix.
What else is needed? Thanks!
Are the email addresses the same in the hosted and selfhosted accounts?
Yes but I went in to my v4 and changed the email address to a different one (the owner account).
I have 4 users currently. It still says the error after I changed the email on the owner account.
Thanks
I’m not sure, I suggest sending an email to [email protected] to ask.
