Delivery note attributes

Hi,
I understood that I have to create a delivery note via template by my own.
( I do not understand why there is no delivery a standard entity. Anyway)

My question: A delivery note - at least in some parts of the world - needs a delivery date and a reference to the quote number or oder confirmation number. But since delivery note is no own entity, there are no custom fields. Is there any way to add a delivery date to a delivery note (template).

The app includes a default delivery note template, if you want to create a custom one you can see an example here:

Maybe you can use a custom invoice field for it?
