Credit notes are no longer generating PDF previews on the edit screen, nor clicking “view”, “Download” or “print” PDF work. It doesn’t even want to generate it when no lines are added, so it’s not data related.
Other PDF’s like invoices itself still work. It only seems to be for credit notes.

@bramdriesen send us an email so we can locate you account and checkout what is happening. It sounds like you may be using a custom design?
Besides a logo which you can set-up in the config nothing custom at all about the PDF’s. Also doesn’t explain why it does work for invoices but not for credit notes.

Not sure how, but the support team has resolved the issue 
So PDF preview generation and all of the buttons (view/print/download) are now working again.
