Client Portal 2FA per email

Hi all,

Been just thinking out on my own and came to the conclusion that we could pretty easily enable 2FA on the client portal. It only needs a few setup things:

  • working “Email Settings”
  • 2FA sent to logon requesting user’s email (which is it’s login username anyways)
  • 5 min timeout per default

Am i wrong assume this could be an easy enablement? I would do the logon flow this way:
1 - username / 2 - 2FA sent out / requested on the Client Portal / 3 - user password request


One last item, is it possible to force a password update on anyone’s client portal profile and this upon the next login ?

I believe this request is being tracked here.

Sorry, I don’t believe forcing a password change at login is supported.
