I take weekly backups from the hosted app. Beginning around mid-March, I noticed it was taking longer for the “requested” export link to arrive in my Email and also the backup file sizes exploded by 120mb! I’ve no idea what would have caused that since I don’t upload images or video and I certainly didn’t grow my customer base by 120-fold within a one-week span. Was the hosted backup program changed in some way to cause this?
Hi,
@david do you have any thoughts?
Backups now contain ALL data including any documents that have been uploaded into the system.
Other records such as activities and now also part of the file.
I really don’t upload anything (the “documents” folder within the backup is only 12mb over a couple years). I see the big contributor to the file size explosion is there’s a recursive “backups” directory in there that is 161mb (meaning I open my backup file and inside, there’s a “backups” directory..I open that one and there’s yet another “backups” directory within). Inside these backup files, there’s numerous html files but the total kb of the individual files isn’t even close to the size of the parent “backups” directory, so I’m not sure what’s consuming the space. Strange.
