Is there any possible way to allow a customer to partially pay an invoice without needing someone to adjust the invoice first. This extra step is time consuming and frustrating for customers. If not, is there any plans to allow them to partially pay their invoice on their own?

You can enable “Allow under payment” on Settings > Payment Settings.
