Auto filling invoice custom field from client field

Using v5.10.57 Self-Hosted

Hi, I have added an invoice custom field called Kundennummer (Customer Number) which I would like to display in the invoice data corner of the invoice (right after Invoice Number).
My goal is to have the value auto-filled during invoice creation from the value of the client attribute $client.number. I was not able to find a way to do this.
Is this supported? Or is there a workaround?
I would like to avoid opening the client in a new tab each time an copying it’s number manually in the invoice custom field.

Thanks for the prompt response @hillel. Okay, but this could be a nice feature to have in further releases. Can I make a feature request out of it?
