Attach Documents (Expenses) to Invoice - Not working

v5.3.3 self hosted on Ubuntu 20 in AWS.

I have entered several expenses with photos of the receipts (assigned to a client) and marked them as ‘Add documents to invoice’ however I cant seem to find where that happens. Ive look at the client portal under documents, nothing, ive looked at the invoice itself, nothing. Any thoughts?

I can see the documents appearing under the invoice itself in an attachment banner

However i can’t see any documents in the documents tab cc @ben
