App launching fail

Hello!

Neither the snap nor the flatpak will launch.
The snap gives a spinning wheel after launch.
The flatpak will only launch from the command line and it too will only give a spinning wheel.

flatpak run com.invoiceninja.InvoiceNinja

Hi,

I’m not sure, if you’re using Wayland it may help to try changing to Xorg.

No, I am still on xorg.

I am attempting to uninstall and reinstall.

I have purged snap and flatpak - but is there files I need to manually delete?

nb. I deleted the cach on my Android app and could then login, so I am hoping to do the same on LInux. Note that I have migrated servers.

There is no deb or appimage package, is there? :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

In that case it may help to try switching to Wayland.

The app stores data in an invoiceninja folder in the user’s documents folder.

The underlying release package is attached to the release on GitHub.

Ok, thanks.
I was looking in .config, .local usr/share.

There was nothing in Desktop.
I tried uninstalling both and separately installing but neither work.
Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I am at a loss though on how to solve this.

Ok, after one more purge of everything I can launch the snap version (I much prefer flatpaks though) - but only via the command line. I will never be able to remember that command, so that is a bit annoying, but at least I have access again!

Maybe define an alias to make it easier to launch?

I will have to research what that is and how to do that. Cheers.

Solution: After uninstalling and rebooting then re-installing the snap package worked. I then manually created a new menu launcher.

Glad to hear it’s working, thanks for letting us know!
