5.3.76 Upgrade FormatException

I am getting the following when trying to update to .76, “FormatException: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”

Also, using smtp-relay.gmail.com has been working without issue but now I get “Expected response code 250 but got an empty response” from 127.0.0.1. Was wondering why no one paid and resending worked earlier this week but now nothing goes out. Nothing logged that I can find and I can telnet to the relay so not quite sure where to check.

How are you updating the app? It may help to copy over the latest release zip:

I redid the invoiceninja folder and copied my user data across and the FormatException went away.

I cannot find a solution for emails not sending, Google must have changed their behavior. Switched to a free SMTP2GO account and they are sending. Something to do with the server identifying as 127.0.0.1 maybe.
