Taxing a per item tax rate?

Is there a way to have the invoice’s tax rate also calculate tax on the line item tax rate?

In my case, I have a service charge on the line item, and then there’s sales tax on the whole invoice- in my state, I need to be collecting sales tax on service charges.

I’m on a self-hosted install, thank you.

Hmmm… one option maybe to use a custom invoice surcharge which include taxes but it would require manually calculating the amount to add.

That seems to work, but it’s not exactly streamlined. Is there somewhere I could put this to have it be a feature request for a future version?
