Are there any errors in storage/logs
I had this error I can not remember exactly which fixed it but it was one of these:
I think it was the selfhost option.

What is your environment? Shared hosting or a virtual private server?

On shared hosting, you’ll need to rely on PhantomJS to generate your PDFs, you will need to register with phantom for an API key and then update the .env with this value.
