Problem with client login // DELETED password after sending mail

We found out, that the from us given password of the client would be deleted after sending the invoice or quote to the client

can you explain the normal prozess and which of the both checkboxes is checked when we forgive the password?

our prozess was:
checked the first checkbox protect invoices with password
go to client and edit user and give him a password
tried to login in the client portal -> worked well
creating an quote and send it to the client
clicked the link and tried to login -> client not found
tried to login in the client portal -> does not worked
tried to request password -> client not found
go to client and edit user and give him a password again
tried to login in the client portal -> worked well

so the problem is that the password will be deleted by sending the email

it would be fine when there is a logout button for the clients -> can you tell us the logout parameter?

Are you able to reproduce this problem? Does unchecking ‘Password Protect Invoices’ make the link work?

There isn’t currently a logout button/link but we plan to add one, you should be able to use /logout to test.

auto oassword works but everytime the client get a now pasword this make or a client login not much sense when the password everytime changes

I’m not sure, the ‘Generate Automatically’ setting should only set a password if it isn’t already set.

If unchecking ‘Password Protect Invoices’ doesn’t fix it it implies the problem isn’t with the password.
