New Installation Shows Directory file structure

I have uploaded an fresh wget install of Invoice Ninja ( self hosted ) running an a VPS with ISPconfig 3 along with 1 wordpress instance. I was initially recieving a “Whoops something went wrong” error, changed my document root in apache2 from /var/www/clients/client0/web1/web
folder to direct domain folder /var/www/invoicing.thoughtpositive.com/web/ and am presented with the directory file structure in browser. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Running Debian 9 Stretch + Apache + IspConfig 3

Try setting the document root to the /public folder

Yes, I tried that, which produces “Whoops” error across navbar

If you see Whoops you can check for more details in storage/logs/laravel-error.log
