Modify update of products behaviour when modifing product within invoice

Good Afternoon People.

Thanks for your time in reading this.

For the way we like to use our description fields, one behaviour is quietly driving me mad and Id like to know where I can modify it.

When I am creating an Invoice and want to add line specific notes in the description or set a specific price for that invoice, it updates the product in my products table. This causes me to have to go back and fix the template products on my table or else it loads these changes when I use it on a new invoice.

Thankfully it does not affect older invoices, just when I instantiate it anew.

Truthfully its easy enough to just change it and keep erasing the extra info it has every time.

Any ideas on how I can achieve this?

You can disable the “update products” option on Settings > Product Settings
