Invoice Ninja v3.9.1 on shared host

I just wanted to post an FYI.
I was creating new SSL certificates for my subdomain serving Invoice Ninja and got an error stating the “acme-challenge” failed. I found out this was due to the .htaccess file in the main directory blocking access somehow.
There are other ways for Shared hosters to create certificates (Shell access if you know how and have access) etc.
My host provider was very quick to help and installed the certificate for me so not sure what was done (rename .htaccess then back).
Hopefully this will be useful information.
