Emailing Invoice hangs


Whenever I try to email the invoice it hangs indefinitely. I never get “email sent” or anything. What can be the problem here. I am using the invoiceninja online hosted service.


Are there any errors in the browser console?

Also, can you please try in a different browser to see if it helps.

Disabled Ublock Origin extension.Tested in Chrome and Firefox. It does not send the email or show an error message.

Hmmm… I’m not sure.

When sending the email we use an AJAX request, can you check the network tab to see what the response is from the server. It may be easiest to load the page, clear the network list and then click ‘Email Invoice’.

I found what was causing the hang up. When I open the invoice in the invoice# field it auto populates number 00001 and below it says: “The Invoice Number has already been taken” After I manually change the Inv# The email goes through. A potential bug or I have to change something in the invoice settings?

If you’re using the LastPass browser extension can you please enable this option in the LastPass settings:

Settings > Advanced > Allow pages to disable autofill
