Does 1 user having access to more than 1 company count as more than 1 user?

I was trying to add an existing user to a second company but I got the error below…

422: The given data was invalid.

 • The email must be a valid email address.
 • Sorry, this will exceed the limit of 2 users

I thought that user’s were counted once, regardless of how many companies they have access to, or have I got that wrong?

Hi Bruce,

The system matches emails, so if you have an enterprise plan with 1-2 users. Then along with the administrator, you can have a second user who can be attached to all other companies - the users email address must be the same across all companies.

Hmm… I want to add an existing user to another company though? I’m using the same email address? Do you know what the problem might be?
