Date of Birth - Custom date field

Hi everyone. I am new to IN. I have just installed V5 and created a Date of Birth custom field for clients. When I try to enter the clients DOB it will only allow from Nov 2015 from the date picker. When I change to manual date input I get the error “Out of range”
How do I fix this?
