Client portal allows un-supported credit card types

We’ve setup a stripe gateway – sandbox for now as we’re just testing.
Selected MC and VISA card types. All others are not selected.

When you go into the client portal and add a credit card, it allows me to enter an AMEX card.
Why does it not enforce the gateway restrictions?

Hi,

The checkboxes just determine which logos are shown, not which cards are accepted.
