Client Area Customizations

NOTE: I essentially fixed the issue by changing the Payment Setting Options “One-Page Checkout” off. However, I do think my questions if answered would make this a better user experience and wonder if it is possible to do what I’m asking.

I have two things I wish to customize or adjust to the client area and really specifically to the invoice view.

  1. Can I just show the items of the invoice somewhere on the screen so all the information contained in the PDF is just the screen?

  2. I’d like it more obvious that they can pay now. The invoice view just shows “Required Fields” and then a “Next” button on the bottom. However, there is no UI/UX to indicate someone coming to that page for the first time that the required fields are required to pay… Can I just hide that and show it if they clicked a “Pay Now” button? Or something similar to this effect. To clarify, it does flash “Payment Methods” on the screen briefly, but I guess because the payment method I have set up (Square and no other options) it just defaults to showing what that payment method requires.

I have no problem customizing a template I just need to know what template and if there is a preferred method to avoid overwrites on updates and making sure it is backed up when running a back up.

Thanks

Hi,

I think the one page checkout option is probably the best solution here.

Note: you can use custom CSS in the portal.

Well, my issue is with the One-Page Checkout; it is not clear for someone’s first time what to do, especially on the desktop view. I’d ideally want to completely the change the content. Important information is kind of hidden in buttons of fly out. There are two PDF download buttons, one opens a run down of the items on the invoice in HTML with another button to then download the PDF and then the other button actually immediately downloads the PDF.

Is it possible for me to just make my own template? I mean sure I could go in the files and edit however I want, but I’m not sure if there is a proper method to do it that is also I don’t want my edits to be overwritten on an update or something. I don’t think I’d be able to make it how I envision it working with just CSS.

Sorry, the app doesn’t support custom templates for the client portal layout.
