Best practices for increasing a products price

hi!
what’s the best way to increase a price for a product?
I’m on the latest version - self hosted.
I have a thirdparty system which generates the invoices over my API lib.

Should I just change the price on the product and it will be used when the next invoice is created (without changing existing invoices?)
or should I create a new product with the new price and switch my System to that product?

Hi,

I think it’s ok to update the price of the existing product, it won’t affect existing invoices.

I don’t see a benefit to adding more products.
