I want to place some images (svg would be my favorite choice) in my invoice template. Where should I save the file so I can access it? Is it possible to create an new variable for this? And of course these files should not be overwritten by an update.

There is no way currently to reference a locally stored file, only files that are URL accessible can be used.
It would be nice if there was a way to expose a local document as a reference so that it could be used within a template/design.
